New Butterfly

Here is my newest butterfly barrette. It wasn't wide enough so I had to improvise with the barrette part. I think it looks like it's flying with how it sits in the hair.

So I got this software that helps you make videos on your computer. Even though I've had it for almost a year I have never tried it! I broke through my little bubble and I decided to try it.

Buffalo Round Up

Every year the guys on the KAE & KNRD crews gather up all the buffalo. They get shots and tags (if they are babies.) This year just seemed different. There were less people there watching and more than a couple "newbies" doing the rounding up.

I was sitting toward the end of the walkway hiding behind the board so the buffalo wouldn't see me and get scared to enter the pin. There was one of the new guys sitting across from me. All of a sudden he jumps up and says "I'm gonna go help them!" (Talking about the guys chasing the buffalo) I continued sitting there sneaking my camera around the corner to take pictures and then we all heard it. The loud yells of a man in pain. He was screaming "He got me! He got me! I have a hole in my leg!" He managed to JUMP the fence! How he did that after being thrown in the air by a huge buffalo is beyond me.

After he was taken to the ambulance, the rest of the guys decided to give the buffalo a rest and take a lunch break so everyone could calm down.

Twilight Series

I kept seeing these books every where I went. I had made up my mind *not * to read them since they were so popular. But for some odd reason Twilight made it's way into my cart last week. I had to wait until I finished reading Sugar Queen before I could start reading it though. Once I did start reading it, I was *HOOKED* I could not put it down. I spent the last six nights staying up until almost 2 am reading. I have finished the first three and am now on the last book *Breaking Dawn*.

If you like Vampires, Werewolves, Romance and some action you'll like these books. The movie comes out November 21st.

Halloween!

I am getting ready for Halloween. :)

As I type I am scanning my new cards. Halloween is one of my most favorite holidays. If I didn't enjoy shopping for others so much it would probably be my most favorite!

Ready for Christmas yet?

I'm trying to get ready! Everything has just been so hectic at home and at work that I haven't had much time to do anything. I did manage to make these Christmas Cards not too long ago.

Seahawks & Raiders

So we went to the Seahawks & Raiders Preseason game on Friday. It was fun although our seats were seperate.


Boys in the parking lot where we paid $40 to PARK!!!!! That just blew me away! Really.....it's gonna cost $40 just to have our van sitting there?





I had our almost 2 year old sitting with me. So I have LOTS of pictures of him. :) He does this crazy looking smile when he poses for pictures. But when you can capture the "natural" smile it's so much cuter.


The final score was Seahawks 23 - Raiders 16.

It's finished!

I worked on the butterfly barrette last night while baby razor was napping and again this morning while watching Goblet of Fire and I *finished* it! YAY!

Work in Progress

This is what I have been working on the last couple of days. It's going to be a barrette. *IF* I would have worked on it this morning instead of playing on etsy and CC it could have been finished by now. But playing on line is so much fun!

What a weekend!

It was pow-wow weekend here. That means everyone gets off of work early on Thursday and nobody comes to work on Monday!

I didn't get to take as many pictures as I would have liked but I did get a few good ones!

This one is of my niece. She's a traditional dancer.

The man in the yellow is my Uncle. This was taken during the Chicken Dance special.

This other one was taken in between contests. I'm not sure who the guy is but I thought it was a good picture.

Beading Kits

Here is one of the mini beading kits I have done up. I have also made up larger ones for myself and as gifts.

Hair Cut Day!

So it was free hair cut day at child care today. My three oldest sons decided they all wanted mohawks. Here is son #3 with his new doo.

The WORST BEST day of my life!

Friday started out with hubby and I dropping the kids off with my mother in law. Everything is going great but there's that little nagging feeling of something about to happen. I just ignore it. NOTHING is going to ruin this day!

3:00 rolls around. We are sitting on the lawn at the radio station and hubby and I (along with 18 other people) are listening to CandleBox play . When they get done we get to actually MEET them and chat for a bit! Again little nagging feeling comes along trying to ruin my day. I just ignore it as Kevin (singer) chats us up about myspace. :) It was the BEST feeling. (I still get excited thinking about it!)

We then head to The Knitting Factory to sit and wait for FOUR hours just so we could get a table for the show. (Sweet Potato fries with Maple Syurp Butter is delicious & that little naggin feeling left as I ate these!)

8:00 rolls around and we finally get in to get us our tables. Between our 2 groups we had a total of 5 mini tables. (big enough to hold 3 drinks and a shirt - lol) Show starts and there are 3 lead up bands before we get to see Candlebox perform their whole show.

As the bands play on and the drinks flow freely that little feeling comes back again. As I sit there next to the radio guys and my brother I see my brothers wife and my hubby's sister walking upstairs. I thought to myself I should go join them. Maybe the more sober one needed help with the other one. *little nagging from earlier that day was getting stronger* Then I thought naw......I'll sit here and enjoy my Mike's a little bit longer.

Then as London Get Down was finishing up their part, *it* happened! I got a text not even 2 mintues after thinking of joining my SIL's. The more sober one had slipped on the steps (two lights were out and you couldn't see the bottom step) and BROKE her ankle!!! *little nagging feeling is replaced with worry and guilt* Not only was she part way in the isle but it was the only public walkway to the smoking area. People were mad. It was sad that she had to not only deal with the pain of her ankle (which she had to go through surgey for) but she also had to sit there and listen to people sling racial remarks, and also deal with the club's representatives who were trying to get her to sign papers. (she refused and told them she would come back when she could read them properly)

By the time I walked her to the ambulance and got back to my table (that SIL was our ride home!) CandleBox was getting ready to come on stage. After a couple more drinks my nerves were calmed down enough to actually sit and watch the show.

We didn't make it home until well after 3 am. So even though it was one of the worst nights of my life it was also one of the best nights of my life. :)
